Activities

FASID was founded to work to promote international development for a peaceful and prosperous international society through human resource development.

Our activities include:
  • Consulting services on international development;
  • Training courses for aid practitioners such as PCM (Project Cycle Management) course and others; dispatch of moderators for PCM workshop;
  • Seminars to share information on current issues in international development and to promote professional networks;
  • Research and surveys on development assistance;
  • Scholarships for Japanese graduate students who aim to pursue PhD program in this field;
  • OKITA Memorial Prize to honour the best research books written in Japanese on international development; and
  • Web Library to archive and provide the research findings and other practical information on international development.
