Since 2005, FASID has offered seminars using the teleconference system for members of country-based ODA Task Forces (hereafter ODA-TFs) in developing countries. The seminar aims to improve and strengthen the capacity of participants to cope with various development issues so that they will be able to play a leading role in the policy-making process and in implementation of ODA. It has picked up current topics such as “Aid Harmonization”, “Gender”, “Water and Sanitation”, “Foreign Direct Investment”, etc., and focuses on the interactive dialogue between development researchers/practitioners in Tokyo and members of ODA-TFs.
