The Okita Memorial Prize has been presented annually since 1997 by FASID to the best research book published in Japanese in the area of international development. The prize, honoring the contribution of Dr. Saburo Okita, former Minister for Foreign Affairs, Japan in this area, aims to promote research that would provide a new insight into the increasingly diverse needs of international development.
