The Graduate Program in International Development Studies (IDS) is now conducted by GRIPS. The next recruitment is expected to be put into effect in autumn 2012 (for admission in October 2013). In April 2000, FASID and the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) commenced a Master’s Program by coursework in International Development Studies. Those who have successfully completed the required coursework will be awarded a Master’s degree in International Development Studies by GRIPS.
Teaching staff are from FASID, GRIPS, and several internationally renowned planning and research institutions. All courses are taught in English.
About half of the students will be Japanese students. The other half will be from developing countries and includes policy makers, researchers, or development practitioners.
The shortest period to complete the coursework is 13 months.
